🔐 Password Vault Service Agreement & Terms

🚨 1. Use At Your Own Risk ("As-Is" Service)

Our Password Vault feature is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

  • Your Choice: By choosing to use this service, you acknowledge and agree that you are using it entirely at your own risk.
  • No Guarantees: While we strive for maximum stability and uptime, Misfit Hosting does not warrant that the service will be entirely uninterrupted, error-free, or immune to emerging cyber threats.

🛡️ 2. Zero-Knowledge Security & Account Recovery

We design our vault systems using a Zero-Knowledge Architecture. This means YOU are the only person who holds the key to your credentials.

  • We Cannot See Your Passwords: Misfit Hosting team members do NOT have access to your master key. We cannot view, read, retrieve, or copy any of your stored passwords.
  • Lost Master Passwords: If you forget or lose your master password, we cannot recover your account or reveal your data.
  • Account Resets: The only way to restore access after losing a master password is for us to completely delete the existing encrypted vault and reactivate a fresh account. Deleting a vault permanently erases all stored passwords. You will need to manually re-import or re-enter your passwords into your new vault.

🛑 3. Limitation of Liability & Data Breaches

Misfit Hosting is strictly NOT responsible or liable for any security incidents, unauthorized access, or data breaches that occur—especially those originating on the user's end.

  • User-Side Security: You are solely responsible for securing your local devices, avoiding weak passwords, and protecting your network against keyloggers, malware, or phishing attacks.
  • Zero Financial Liability: Under no circumstances shall Misfit Hosting, its owners, operators, or affiliates be held liable for financial loss, loss of revenue, business disruption, identity theft, compromised third-party accounts, or any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from a security breach or lost access.

📑 4. Backups & User Responsibility

  • Maintain Your Own Backups: We strongly recommend keeping secure offline backups or export files of your essential logins.
  • No File Restores: Misfit Hosting cannot restore individual lost, corrupted, or overwritten vault items.

⚖️ 5. Indemnification

By using this service, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Misfit Hosting from any legal claims, liabilities, damages, or costs resulting from your account usage, lost credentials, or user-side security breaches.

This agreement provides standard limitation-of-liability coverage for zero-knowledge tools and is integrated into the Misfit Hosting Master Services Agreement.
